If plumbing is involved and it exceeds $50,000.00, anyone doing this work would need the plumbing classification on their license. This classification also allows the licensee to carry out digging, excavation, backfilling and levelling work in conjunction with concrete construction THE CE classification (electrical) is acceptable for the installation of solar systems. This classification allows the licensee to install and repair prefabricated acoustic ceiling and wall systems. All electricians working in the state must be licensed by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry.
There is no city or county license. License (PV – Commercial)If the solar panel is used exclusively for energy purposes, only the electrical license of a state contractor would be required. License (solar thermal – commercial) If the solar panel is used to heat the building, the HVAC license from a government contractor would be required. NH retaliates with MA, ME and VT for journeyman and master licenses and with Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming under the Multi-State Electrical Reciprocal Licensing Group agreement only for the journeyman license. Projects valued at $25,000 or more require a Contractor License from the State of Tennessee from the prime contractor (a contract directly with the owner) as well as any electrical subcontractors. This classification allows the licensee to replace and repair commercial pools and accessories, including all existing connectors and equipment. Plumbing connections to a drinking water system, gas lines, chlorine-to-gas systems and electrical work beyond initial separation must be subcontracted to a duly licensed contractor. Iowa requires that all sole proprietorships and businesses that perform “construction” work in Iowa be registered with the Division of Labor if they earn at least $2,000 a year from that work. Individuals or businesses that earn less than $2,000 a year for “construction” work or that only work on their own real estate or real estate do not need to register. Educational Requirement: All state licenses require four years of field experience. One year of this is a supervisory experience. Up to three years of university credit hours can be replaced by experience. License (PV) The State of New York does not grant a license at the state level. Admission is regulated at the district level. The Ministry of Labour and Personnel Development issues the licence after passing a Journeyman Electrician, Journeyman Electrician, Electrician, Electrician, Electrician, Maintenance Electrician and Apprentice/Apprentice exam. Requires 8,000 hours of trading experience. Licensing Authority: The Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) is authorized to issue licenses for solar thermal work, solar-electric work, and wind-electric work.
Permit photovoltaic (PV) installations must be installed in accordance with the manufacturer`s instructions, which may include special training. The Michigan State Electricity Licensing Act, 1956 PA 217, MCL 338,887, sections 7(1) and 7(2) requires that persons operating power lines be duly authorized under the act, with the exception of those exempted under section 7(3). Connection to electrical service requires the services of a licensed electrician and electrical approval is required. When solar systems are installed as a heating element, a mechanical contractor`s license is required under the Forbes Mechanical Contractors Act, 1984 PA 192 of the State of Michigan, MCL 338,977, section 7 (1). This classification allows the licensee to drill new water wells or deepen existing water wells using standard practices, including the use of cable tools, compressed air percussion, rotation, air rotation or reverse circulation rotation. Includes the installation of housings, gravel packaging, perforation and plumbing joints. Repair existing wells by sand pumping, blasting, acidification, polka pointing, cleaning, reper drilling, swaging, annealed pipe installation and debris removal. License (PV) A state license as an electrical contractor is required for any company that installs, repairs or modifies electrical systems or equipment used for electric light, heat, electricity or signage. The person(s) who perform the photovoltaic electrical installation for the electrician must be a licensed electrician.
The Texas Electrical Safety and Licensing Act authorizes local and regional regulation. Work related to electricity, plumbing, air conditioning and boilers must be subcontracted to a duly authorized contractor. The CMC or CMC-A (mechanical or plumbing) classification is the acceptable license classification for contractors. .
